the easiest way to hide your links is to use a free service like http://tinyurl.com you just type in your long link click the make a tiny url button and the jobs done.

if you are posting on a forum you can change your url to a text link by putting [url= at the beginning then add your url followed by ]
then add your text ie click here now and then add [/url] after your text and hopfully only the text link should be displayed.
